The tutorial is fine alright but I had to see the code on your website to understand it in action .

As per a previous post, i had to view the source code of his website to work out why the code listed wasn't working.

To make it easier for others, these are the sections that need to change:

document.getElementsById(“darkBackgroundLayer”).style.display = “none”;

Should be:

document.getElementsByName("darkBackgroundLayer")[0].style.display = 'none';

and this one:

document.getElementsById(“darkBackgroundLayer”).style.display = “”;

Should be:

document.getElementsByName('darkBackgroundLayer')[0].style.display='';

Apart from the missing [0] and changing the " to ' (To avoid potential issues) in both and the lack of an example prompt the code works well.
